Internal Medicine - Digestive and Liver Diseases | General Hepatology | Transplant Hepatology

Dr. Indira Bhavsar-Burke, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general and transplant hepatology.

Dr. Bhavsar-Burke earned her medical degree at Marshall University in West Virginia. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia, a fellowship in gastroenterology at Indiana University and a fellowship in transplant hepatology at the Cleveland Clinic. She also earned a Master of Health Professions Education degree at the University of Michigan. 

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. She currently serves as the Associate Program Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship at UT Southwestern. She is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society of Transplantation.
